Log.Fish Detailed forecast: five-day strip, Buoys Now reading, and the hour-by-hour wind grid for B Buoy, 42.38° N 70.78° W

All of it in one place

Stop jumping between four apps at 5 a.m.

Wind, seas, tide, current and the buoy reading are on one screen, in the order you read them. Pull forecasts up to 7 days ahead.

  1. Wind

    01

    speed · gusts · direction

Hour by hour on the five-stop wind color scale, with gusts drawn above the sustained line.

  2. Waves

    02

    height · period · direction

Sea state as height and period, so 2 ft at 4 s and 2 ft at 9 s read as the different days they are.

  3. Tide

    03

    highs · lows · heights

The curve, the times, and MHW and MLW marked. Shown wherever a tide exists.

  4. Sun and moon

    04

    rise · set · phase · daylight

Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset and the phase, on the same timeline as the wind.

  5. Sky

    05

    cloud · rain · fog · temp · pressure

Cloud cover, rain, fog, air temperature, barometric pressure and sea surface temperature by the hour.

  6. Currents

    06

    speed · direction per hour

Current speed and set for every hour, read against the tide line above it.

Conditions now · Live buoys

The forecast says what should happen. The buoy says what is happening.

You get both. Live readings from NOAA’s NDBC buoy network sit above the forecast, labeled as what they are: the look before you go. Stale readings are hidden, not guessed.

Buoys now

2.6 ft seas at 4 s · WNW 16 kts · water 59°F

Read it your way

Plain words or every hour. You pick.

Simple: one plain sentence per part of the day.

No chart reading. Each 6-hour block tells you the wind, the seas, where the tide is going and when the sun comes up, in words.

Wind 5–9 kts out of the SW, holding into the afternoon. Seas flat at 0–1 ft at 6 s. Tide coming in, high at 9:14 AM. Sunrise 6:45 AM.

Both views are free for everyone. Switch any time with the toggle at the top of the forecast.

Log.Fish Simple forecast for Wednesday: Buoys Now reading, then plain-sentence blocks for 12–6 AM, 6 AM–12 PM and 12–6 PM

Pick your spot

The spot you fish. Not the town you live in.

Tap the chart where you plan to fish and get the forecast for that exact point: a ledge, a rip, a buoy, a cove. Save it, and the next days are one tap away, with a strip of the week’s wind under each date.

It remembers the bite

The forecast that remembers what the fish liked.

Log a fish and Log.Fish saves the wind, tide, current and water temp at that spot and that minute on its Log Sheet, automatically. No weather app does that. After a season, your Log shows what the bite needs.

The sources

The best of each source, on one screen.

Forecast models plus live measurements. Most apps give you one or the other. Log.Fish pulls forecasts from meteoblue and Stormglass, tides and currents from NOAA, and live readings from NOAA’s NDBC buoys. Each value comes from the source we chose for it; nothing is averaged.

Wind and sky

meteoblue

Wind and sky come from meteoblue's multimodel forecast: many weather models, weighed by machine learning. Not one model's guess.

Swiss forecaster, founded 2006, a pioneer of multimodel forecasting. Accuracy claims are meteoblue's own, for its Learning MultiModel.

Sea state and water

Stormglass

Wave height, swell, currents and water temperature for the exact point you tap, through Stormglass.

Stormglass draws on the world's leading weather and ocean institutions. Source: Stormglass.

Tides and currents

NOAA

Official U.S. tide predictions and marine forecasts, the numbers captains already run their day on.

U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. No endorsement implied.

Conditions now

NDBC buoys

Live readings from NOAA's buoy network, straight off the water: wind, wave height, pressure, air and water temperature.

Live readings, not a forecast. Readings can drop out; the app hides stale ones.

Questions

Fishing weather, answered.

Where does the forecast come from?

Forecasts come from meteoblue and Stormglass, tide and current predictions from NOAA, and live readings from NOAA's NDBC buoy network. Each value on screen comes from the source we chose for it. Nothing is averaged across sources.

How far ahead does the forecast go?

Free accounts see today and tomorrow. Pro Logger shows the full 7-day forecast for any spot you pick.

What is the difference between Simple and Detailed?

Simple writes the forecast as plain sentences for each 6-hour block of the day. Detailed shows every hour and every value on one shared timeline, so you can read the wind at sunrise and the current at low tide in the same column. Both views are free; you switch with the toggle at the top of the forecast.

Does it work for freshwater fishing?

Yes. Wind, sky, sun and moon work everywhere. Tides show only where they exist, and there are no buoys inland.

What happens to the conditions when I log a catch?

Log.Fish saves the wind, tide, current, water temperature and the rest of the conditions at the exact spot and minute of the catch on its Log Sheet, automatically. Pro Logger shows you the full set on every catch you log, back to your first.

Check it once. Keep it forever.

The whole fishing forecast for your spot, free to start. Every catch you log keeps its conditions.
